Sound is one of the most ancient forms of healing. We live in an information overload society, always doing and not being. Sound healing uses frequency and vibration from harmonic instruments including crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, monochord, gongs, chimes, drums, flutes and the voice. This practice promotes physical, mental and emotional well-being. It works on a cellular level and the sound vibrations interact with the body’s natural frequencies, including brainwaves shifting from the beta to the theta state, activating the parasympathetic nervous system whilst lowering stress hormones like cortisol. Sound healing reduces stress and anxiety, improves sleep and mood and pain management restoring the body’s natural balance.
